We are offering
any of the following services for Worm wheel & Worm
shaft manufacture on VMC.
1)
Worm wheel profile defined as points in Excel / Text
/ IGES format. (click

The points will closely resemble those generated by
conventional hobbing.

Part programs in G codes required to manufacture the Worm
wheel (4 axis) (click

word pad to open it) Three sets of
part programs will be provided , ranging from superior surface
finish, to faster cycle time (achieved by 3 different depth
of cut / pass).Offset positions, End mill specifications
& approximate cycle time will be provided.
5)
3D Simulation of the machining for manufacture the Worm
wheel (4 axis) as above with STL file (click
to download sample.stl) (13.9 MB) of
machined component. Simulation will indicate any one of
the above 3 part programs.
6)
Part program in G codes required to manufacture the Worm
shaft (5 Axis) Offset positions, End mill specifications
& approximate cycle time will be provided.
7)
3D Simulation of the machining for manufacture the Worm
shaft (5 Axis) as above with STL file (click
to download sample.stl) (2.06 MB) of
machined component.
8) Manufacture of the components/prototypes. Delivery
time will be approximately 1 week for all soft copies which
will be sent by e-mail after receipt of payment. Components
/ prototypes prices & lead times will be quoted based
on their specs & shop loading. Do not make any payments
until we have reviewed your specifications / requirements
& we have replied to you in writing to go ahead &
make the payment.
